- Practice without compromise
- Rich tone under powerful reduction
- Stable pitch and instant response
- Fast to place, gentle on the bridge
The Practice WMute is specially designed to drastically reduce the sound of the instrument without compromising the quality of the resulting muted tone.
Its light yet highly effective construction uses a carefully balanced architecture to achieve strong reduction without unnecessary weight, while preserving colour, resonance and a clear response under the bow.
Articulation remains intact, string crossings stay clear, and technical work feels effective and musical, even in a smaller acoustic space. This allows long practice sessions to become more focused, useful and enjoyable.
Its integrated clip-like system makes the mute quick and practical to use, with a firm fit that leaves string intonation unchanged.
Each Practice WMute is individually hand-finished from a brass core and plated in silver, onyx or 24k gold. Inside, the rubber-cork contact surface protects the bridge and refines the resulting muted sound.
